Vous me manquez!

I miss you all! I hope you are all doing well and getting along okay with your at-home learning. I miss seeing all your faces regularly and hearing about what you are doing.

Here's a riddle for you:
When things go wrong, what can you always count on?

Don't forget, you can check out the Optional Activities tab if you are looking for some extra things to fill your time. If you do them, I'd love to see the finished products! Send them to eemacdonald@cbe.ab.ca

Bonjour mes amis!

Hello my friends! I hope you are all doing well and keeping busy while at home. I am so excited to talk to the other teachers and hear about what you are all working on with at-home learning.

I will be posting specific activities that you can do to keep up with the French language while at home. These activities are entirely OPTIONAL. They are meant to be another way to keep engaged in the school community and keep busy; they are not assigned tasks and are not required to be completed or sent in. If you would like to share your work, feel free to send them to me at eemacdonald@cbe.ab.ca

Check out the "Optional Activities" tab to find activities for each grade level.

Welcome back!

Welcome back to LRD at-home learning! We, as teachers, are very excited to continue learning and growing with all of you during this time. I ask that you refer to your child's homeroom teacher's classroom website for updates and instructions.
This site will remain as a resource to keep up-to-date with the French language and for students to practice skills and vocabulary they have already learned in class. Any French activities that you choose to participate in are completely optional as we are focusing on language/literacy and math/numeracy during at-home learning.

Stay safe, wash your hands, and reach out if you need support.

School Closures

Please see the Le Roi Daniels homepage for updates and information regarding school closures.

If you are worried about how to support your child's French education because you do not know the language, try having your child teach you what we have learned in class! Teaching others is proven as an effective means of solidifying new concepts for years to come.
